Epoxy MIO Micaceous Iron Oxide Intermediate Coat

Product name: Epoxy MIO Micaceous Iron Oxide Intermediate Coat

Product introduction

Epoxy micaceous iron oxide coat is made of epoxy resin as the base material and added with mica iron oxide. The microstructure of mica iron oxide is like flaky mica, its thickness is only a few microns, and the diameter is tens of microns to one hundred microns. It is high temperature resistance, alkali resistance, acid resistance, and non-toxic, and the flaky structure can prevent the penetration of the medium and enhance the anti-corrosion performance. It is an excellent middle-layer anti-corrosion coat with low shrinkage and surface roughness.

Application

Used as an intermediate coating on steel, it can be used for steel structures and steel supports of various power equipment in substations, iron towers of transmission lines; easily rusted cast iron or steel components such as buildings, bridges, ships, etc.; steel structure of power plant cooling towers, desulfurization flues, the main powerhouse, coal transport trestle, dry coal awning, etc.

Construction technology

1. Basic treatment

Clean up the rust, weld coating, welding spatter, oil stain, dust and other debris on the coating part, so that the coated surface is free of rust, oil, water, and dust. Primer must be applied within 12 hours after rust removal.

2. Primer coating

When the primer is applied, the direction should be consistent and the connection should be neat. When painting, the principle of frequent movement and short distance is adopted to prevent too much paint from flowing down.

3. Topcoat coating

Prepare according to the ratio of A:B=10:1 and stir thoroughly to ensure consistent color, viscosity and consistency without sagging and brush lines. It should be stirred continuously during use, and the application method is the same as that of the primer.

Recommended solutions to increase service life

1.Cost-effective solution for heavily polluted environment

Epoxy zinc rich primer + Epoxy MIO micaceous iron oxide intermediate coat + Polyurethane topcoat

2.Cost-effective solution for moderately polluted and heavily polluted environments

Epoxy zinc rich primer + Epoxy MIO micaceous iron oxide intermediate coat + Fluorocarbon topcoat
